Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
My approach to therapy emphasizes collaboration and focuses on meeting the client where they are mentally and emotionally. My goal is to provide a space to support and empower students as they develop their personal and professional identities. I use a variety of Humanistic, Positive Psychology, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques to inspire my clients to make positive changes in their lives. I utilize strengths-based interventions to support clients as they seek to better understand themselves, where they come from, and who they are today. I emphasize adaptability in my approach by supporting the client’s exploration of experiences and emotions and acknowledging that progress often does not occur linearly and looks different for each person.
My professional interests include anxiety disorders, self-worth, identity development, self-compassion, health psychology, positive psychology, team cohesion, recovery in injured athletes, assessment.
Personal Interests
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, riding my horses, working out, photography, watching live music, and eating delicious food (that I don’t have to cook).
