Event Information
What to Expect Day-Of
When you arrive at the student health center, look for the Von’s Vision signage to lead you to the event location. Signage will be near the first floor entrance, as well as when you arrive on the basement level. Check-in for the event will be hosted in the basement, room 027 (southeast side of the A.P. Beutel Health Center).
Please arrive for your appointment at least 10 minutes in advance. You will be asked to show a form of personal identification as well as the event eligibility form.
The entire paperwork and examination process will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. You will be meeting with optometry staff during the examination process and will then be led to a kiosk where you will be able to pick out a frame for your glasses. You will not receive any glasses on the day of the event, as they must be customized based on your prescription specifications. You will receive a copy of your prescription following your examination.
Once the examination process is complete and you have picked out your frames, you are welcome to exit the building. Your prescription will then be sent to a lab where your new prescription will be filled. You do not have to check-out after utilizing the event.
This event can only be possible with the help of student volunteers.
