Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
Because no person fits in a single box, my approach to an individual's needs may encompass different methods/practices. My main priority is to establish a counseling relationship through trust, honesty, and respect, where students are able to define and navigate current concerns and to facilitate change. I use an eclectic approach in therapy with an emphasis on cognitive-behavioral and solution-focus therapy. My professional interests are trauma, identity issues, personal growth, depression, and relationship issues.
Personal Interests
I enjoy camping, paintball wars, traveling, and experimenting in the kitchen with my husband and children. On lazy days, I enjoy binge-watching horribly wonderful tv series, anime, horror films, and cuddling with our four Great Danes.
