Biography
I’m someone who has moved around several times in my life, meaning my cultural background is more complex than a few simple descriptions. It’s partly because of these personal experiences that I highly value attending to cultural factors in my work with clients. I aim to build a collaborative, empowering relationship together. I value helping clients set goals and pursue the steps needed to reach those goals. I enjoy helping clients reframe situations, create alternative solutions, and celebrate their progress forward. My work draws on several theories, especially cognitive behavioral theory (CBT), interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT), and positive psychology.
