University Health Services reached more than an estimated 2000 people through resource tabling, bannering, awareness events and suicide awareness and prevention trainings during the month of September.
Coffee with a Counselor has served as a hallmark feature of suicide awareness and prevention efforts, connecting students with University Health Services counselors for informal conversations about mental health and wellbeing resources.
In collaboration with Rec Sports, University Health Services has facilitated multiple opportunities for students to decompress and invest in their self-care and wellness through yoga.
A longstanding feature at many University Health Services suicide awareness and prevention events, the “Messages of Hope” board offers opportunities for Aggies to encourage each other and invest in the collective mental health of our Aggie community.
University Health Services partnered with the Texas A&M University Student Government Association to host Mental Health & Suicide Awareness Week, bringing together groups across Aggieland to raise awareness, reduce stigma and offer support.
