University Health Services offers a wide range of resources and appointments to students, encompassing both physical and mental health care needs. For details regarding services, visit Medical Care Services and Mental Health Care Services. To access care at University Health Services, students must be currently enrolled at Texas A&M University and have paid the student eligibility fees for the semester. Appointments are scheduled through the portals linked above, which also create secure channels for communications and document sharing with providers. Please note: In accessing these portals, you are leaving the Texas A&M domain.
Appointment Reminders
Monitor the Appointment Portal for communication from your provider, and complete any paperwork prior to your appointment to avoid delays. Be sure to add any insurance information in the “Insurance Card” tab in the Appointments Portal.
Appointment notifications will be sent via email or text.
- For counseling sessions, you'll receive confirmation of your counseling session within one business day. Although, scheduling may take up to 10 business days depending on appointment type and provider availability.
- For telemedicine medical appointments: a secure message will be sent via the Appointment Portal that includes the zoom meeting ID and passcode specific to your appointment.
Bring a list of pertinent medical history, current medications and medical insurance card, if applicable.
If currently taking medications and attending a medical appointment, please specify the name of the medication, dosage amount, and frequency taken, and provide this list to the nurse assisting during your appointment.

Counseling & Mental Health Care Appointments
In-Person
Appointments are preferred. Students who wish to make an appointment with a counselor may do so by calling 979.458.4584 or visiting the Counseling & Mental Health Care Appointment Portal.
The Student Counseling & Mental Health Care Center provides non-emergency, same-day assistance for immediate emotional support needs. For more information, visit Urgent Mental Health Care, and for life-threatening concerns or when the university is closed, see Emergency Resources.
Telehealth
Telehealth appointments are available for students to utilize while they are physically located in the state of Texas. Telehealth appointments allow a student to consult a mental health provider from the comfort of their own home. These appointments are held via video (Zoom) and may be scheduled by visiting the Counseling & Mental Health Care Appointment Portal.
Primary & Specialty Medical Care
In-Person
Appointments are preferred, and walk-ins are accepted only if time permits. Students who wish to make an appointment with a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant may do so by calling 979.458.4584 or visiting the Primary & Specialty Medical Care Appointment Portal.
Telehealth
Telemedicine is available for students to utilize while they are physically located in the state of Texas. Telemedicine allows a student to consult a medical provider from the comfort of their own home. These appointments are held via video (Zoom) and can address a wide variety of medical conditions. Schedule a telemedicine appointment by visiting the Primary & Specialty Medical Care Appointment Portal. Telemedicine appointments are available Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Appointment Availability
During high-traffic points in the semester, the University Health Services Student Counseling & Mental Health Care Center switches to a single-session counseling format, primarily offering one-time, goal-focused sessions designed to address specific needs. Depending on the nature and outcome of these sessions, some limited options for follow-up may be available. Once final exams begin, our counselors are available for urgent, crisis-related services and will resume all services the first day of the following semester. Options for scheduling appointments will resume the week before classes begin.

App services are available 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, regardless of location, for currently enrolled Texas A&M University students.
