Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
My approach to therapy is goal-driven with an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship, increasing insight and awareness, identifying strengths, and empowering the clients to work together collaboratively to overcome their challenges. My theoretical orientation is an integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Theory (IPT), focusing on both cognitions and emotions, in the context of relationships to others as well as oneself.
Areas of professional interests include: anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, multiculturalism/diversity, identity development, and interpersonal relationship difficulties.
Personal Interests
My personal interests include arts and crafts, cooking, and spending time with loved ones.
