Approach to Therapy, Supervision and Leadership
I support individuals and teams in utilizing their strengths to create a better future. I strive to listen deeply, to see people fully, and to create welcoming, inclusive spaces and relationships that support healing and wellbeing. I know that people’s strengths and struggles reflect their experiences and identities within the relationships, communities, and systems they are nested in and impacted by. I see therapy and other wellness interventions as ways to facilitate or rekindle an individual's natural ability to thrive, heal, and have a more empowered and fulfilling life. I believe that student mental health and wellbeing is best supported in a community of care. As a first-generation college student, I am honored to support student success.
Professional Interests
I have provided therapeutic services, supervision, consultation, and training in college counseling centers, community mental health clinics, and private practice settings. My areas of interest include: wellbeing, biopsychology, meditation, social justice, identity development, intersectionality, personal/historical/intergenerational trauma, EMDR, leadership, and program development/management. I incorporate systems, multicultural, psychodynamic, and continuous improvement theories and values into my work.
Personal Interests
I enjoy my work and learning something new every day. I love to travel, eat, and spend time with family and friends. My fitness/wellbeing activities keep me grounded and thriving.
