Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
As CAPS’ Case Management Referral Coordinator, I utilize an Integrative approach with a focus on person-centered and solution-focused. In this role, I assist students in evaluating and identifying their counseling, psychiatric, medical, and social service needs in order to support their mental health and wellness. I additionally guide students on how to connect with these services inside and outside of Bryan/College Station. Advocacy, education, and identification of service resources are some of the common components of my role, and are duties that I truly value.
Approach to Supervision
I value the importance of being heard and the impact of self-reflection. I strive to cultivate a space in which trainees can reflect upon themselves not only as clinicians in training, but as individuals with many intersecting identities. I believe in the power of connection and awareness of self as ways to create a supportive supervisory environment where trainees can feel empowered to challenge themselves, develop their identities as clinicians, and incorporate their own unique experiences and perspectives.
Personal Interests
I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, hanging out with our four cats, taking pictures, and gardening!
