I truly enjoy working with college students and advocating for mental health and wellness initiatives. As a counselor, I’m honored to join Aggie students as they transition through college, reflect on past experiences and challenge themselves to grow and invite over all wellness into their lives. I strive to provide a safe environment for students to be vulnerable and courageous as they process potential barriers and experiences that may impede their wellbeing. Through counseling and exploration, students may discover and activate current and often new strengths and skills to promote healing and wellness. My approach to counseling is integrative in which I value a person-centered approach taking into account relationship, culture, mindfulness and cognitive behavior influences. I enjoy working with a broad range of presenting concerns, including self-esteem/self-worth issues, depression, anxiety, career and self-awareness, and relationship concerns. I am also passionate about promoting mental health and wellness in counseling as well as outside the doors of the counseling center through outreach initiatives.

I believe in building a trusting, open, and collaborative supervisory relationship that fosters growth in a safe and affirming environment. Similar to my therapeutic style, I value being authentic, genuine and curious in all areas of my work. Thus, my intent during supervision is to provide space for vulnerable exploration and reflection for trainees to enhance and challenge their approach to clinical work and connecting with others. My aim is to provide a balance of being supportive and challenging, to encourage trainees to explore their own professional identities as they continue the life long journey of learning and advocating mental health and wellness.
