Approach to Therapy and Professional Interests
I aim to build an authentic relationship with each client while providing a comfortable and welcoming environment to process life’s unique challenges. I am committed to collaboratively working with clients to help them gain insight into their experiences, to build skills to cope with and move through presenting challenges, and to resolve present and past emotional pain. I utilize cognitive behavioral and interpersonal process approaches in therapy, while also integrating aspects of mindfulness and acceptance. I cherish and respect my clients’ unique multicultural identities and seek to humbly understand how their identities and experiences have shaped, and continue to shape, who they are.
Professional interests: Mood disorders (anxiety, depression), burnout, identity development, mental performance, athlete mental health, men and masculinity, spirituality, religiosity, life transitions, interpersonal relationships.
Personal Interests
In my free time I enjoy spending time with friends and family, attending sporting events, playing sports, enjoying local restaurants and foods, running and exercising, and traveling to state and national parks.
