Iris Y. Carrillo, PhD
Biography
I’m a Latina, bilingual psychologist and proud first-generation college student from a working-class family. These identities have shaped who I am as a psychologist, including my approach to supporting our many Aggies. My therapeutic approach is an integration of psychodynamic, interpersonal, and emotion-focused theories and cognitive behavioral approaches, within a feminist, social justice, and multicultural framework. I am a generalist and enjoy working will all students, and I have specialized training and experience working on issues related to identity development, intersecting identities, trauma, eating disorders and body image, and career development.
