Iris Y. Carrillo, PhD
Biography
I’m a Latina, bilingual psychologist and proud first-generation college student from a working-class family. These identities have shaped who I am as a psychologist, including my approach to supporting our many Aggies. My therapeutic approach is an integration of psychodynamic, interpersonal, and emotion-focused theories and cognitive behavioral approaches, within a feminist, social justice, and multicultural framework. I am a generalist and enjoy working will all students, and I have specialized training and experience working with issues impacting students of color and undocumented college students, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersecting identities, trauma, eating disorders and body image, and career development.
