Allison McKee
Biography
College students are in a big adjustment period with everything they are trying to juggle. I would like to assist students in making mental health a priority. My approach to therapy comes from a humanistic perspective using person-centered and gestalt therapy while also incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I value having a collaborative relationship with clients and increasing self-awareness. My goal as a counselor is to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where students feel supported as they reach their goals. Some of my interests in therapy include relationships, anxiety, academic concerns, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community.
